Welcome!

Baben Designs began as a favor for my best friend. She was the first of my group of friends to get married and had a large number of out-of-town guests coming to the wedding. I offered to create an "activity map" for her guests which would show the location of the various wedding events as well as things to do and see in the area. Everyone loved the maps and it quickly escalated into all of my friends asking me to make them for their own weddings. At one point one of their wedding coordinators approached me with the idea of doing it as a business, as she said she had numerous brides that would love just such a service. Frankly, I was a bit aprehensive but decided to give it a try. The rest, as they say, is history.

I have now designed maps, newsletters, direction cards, programs, save-the-dates, and monograms for brides all over the country! In addition, I have designed business cards and logos for small businesses. I do still have a "real job" as an architect/urban planner, so I try to keep my clientle limited to make sure I have the time needed to give each one the personal service they deserve. For this reason, I try to limit the areas for which I will make wedding maps to the Atlanta and Charleston areas as I am quite familiar with both cities. In certain cases, based on my workload and the timeline, I can do work in other cities for an extra fee.
